Welp, issa prank! Monster RX93.1's popular program "The Morning Rush" isn't saying goodbye as it's just the radio station's April Fool's joke.

On Facebook, Monster RX93.1 posted last March 31 that the popular radio program will go off-air after over 25 years.

"We'll be saying goodbye to #TheMorningRush for now, but don't worry! You'll still hear Chico, Hazel, and Markki on different Monster shows," the station wrote, referring to hosts Chico Garcia, Hazel Aguilon, and Markki Stroem.

It even asked listeners to join its "Farewell Week" on April 4 to 8.

While the announcement pulled at the heartstrings of fans, little did they know that the radio station was pulling a prank on them.

The trio set the record straight on April 1's episode, which befittingly had the theme #NilolokoMoKoEh.

Stroem and Aguilon also took to Instagram Stories to point out that the announcement was just a prank.

"Sorry na guys!" Stroem wrote, as he encircled the latest episode's hashtag, which has been a trending topic on Twitter. "We are not going to end the show. It's an April Fools Prank."

Aguilon, meanwhile, shared a video inside the radio booth. She put an April Fool's sticker, as Spice Girls' Goodbye can be heard playing in the background.

"We apologize for the stress and all that, but thanks for being a good sport," Aguilon said during the tail end of April 1's program. "Promise, we're not going to pull something like that again."

Garcia joked that he'll attend acting workshops from Stroem, who's also a thespian, so that their upcoming pranks will be "better."

"Until next year. Next year," Stroem said in jest, as he did a fake evil laugh.

Monster RX93.1 also posted a clarification, assuring its listeners that it will stay on the airwaves "for a long time."

"Your support means so much to us! We love you!" it told fans, followed by a hug emoji.

Some commenters, meanwhile, were quite "unhappy" with the prank.

"Walangya kayo akala ko totoo," content creator Macoy Dubs wrote.

Rappler head of community Jules Guiang and author Rhadson Mendoza likewise dropped playful remarks on the post.
