Garrett Popcorn Shops is saying goodbye to Hong Kong this October.

The American gourmet popcorn maker announced its closure on Facebook.

"Dear fans, Garrett Popcorn Shops will be cooking our last batches in Hong Kong this month," it wrote.

"Thank you for the past 13 years of Garrett Popcorn Shops in Hong Kong. We loved being part of your city and look forward to returning one day soon."

In the comments section of the post, fans of the snack expressed their sadness over the news and called Garrett the "best popcorn" in Hong Kong.

"Your popcorn is the best. I don't want any others," one user commented.

"[I'm] gonna miss the Chicago mix," added another.

Garrett Popcorn popped up in Hong Kong in 2011 and has five locations in the city, as per TimeOut magazine.

The brand opened its first branch in 1949 in downtown Chicago. It's known for its family recipes for flavors CaramelCrisp, CheeseCorn, Buttery, and Plain. In 2009, it expanded beyond the United States as it set up shops in Singapore and Dubai for its 60th anniversary.
