Netflix to stream 'Maria Clara at Ibarra'

In a report by GMA Network, the historical drama is set to premier on the streaming giant on April 14.

Maria Clara at Ibarra follows the story of Klay (Barbie Forteza), a nursing student who is transported into the fictional world of Jose Rizal's Noli Me Tangere.

Klay then meets Maria Clara (Julie Ann San Jose), Crisostomo Ibarra (Dennis Trillo), and Fidel (David Licauco). After learning about the Philippines' history, she is then compelled to prevent its tragic ending from happening.

The series also include Juancho Trivino as Padre Salvi, Rocco Nacino as Elias, Tirso Cruz III as Padre Damaso, Andrea Torres as Sisa, and Khalil Ramos as Basilio.

After receiving rave reviews, Maria Clara at Ibarra got extended for a week original finale airing date on February 17. It aired its finale last February 24.
