TRENDING: LRT-1 updates signage after drawing laughs with spelling error
A signage at the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) became the subject of laughter after it spelled "investigation" wrong.
The banner made the rounds online on Friday, March 15 after a commuter shared a photo of the error on Facebook. It shows a spelling mistake in the National Bureau of Investigation signage situated at one of its stations, where "investigation" was spelled incorrectly as "investagation."
Social media users poked fun at the error in the comments section of the post.
"Impernes (in fairness), tama ang spelling ng 'exit,'" a Facebook user wrote.
"Pa-imbestigahan na 'yan sa NBI," another one joked.
"Idk, I read it as 'investagaysheeeen,'" said another.
"'Di na lang kasi NBI 'yung nilagay," a social media user also commented.
The management of LRT-1 acknowledged the misspelling in a tweet on X. "That one signage might be a little 'letterally challenged' sometimes, but rest assured our trains are running smoothly to bring you safely where you need to go," it said.
The signage was updated later in the day.
That one signage might be a little "letterally challenged" sometimes, but rest assured our trains are running smoothly to bring you safely where you need to go. Our team is already working on the updated signage today. Ingat po! pic.twitter.com/4o2zDTzpuu
