Albie Casiño says he didn't attend wake of ex's mother Jaclyn Jose because he might not be welcomed there
Albie Casiño minced no words in stating that he didn’t attend the wake of ex-girlfriend Andi Eigenmann’s mother, Jaclyn Jose.
During a media conference for his upcoming movie Kasalo, Albie was asked if he was present during the wake.
"Unang-una, I just wanna say rest in peace Ms. Jane saka condolences sa lahat ng tao na nagmamahal sa kanya,” he is quoted as saying, "pero hindi naman ako apektado dun.”
Moreover, Albie believes his presence won’t be welcome there, so he finds no reason to show up.
“Ba’t ako makikiramay, di ba,” he said.
Albie had a bitter breakup with Andi and in 2011, was dragged into a controversy after she announced her pregnancy.
He denied fathering her daughter Ellie, but later in 2016, Andi's sister Max revealed Jake Ejercito to be the biological dad. (Jake was present during Jaclyn's wake and delivered a heartfelt eulogy.)
In 2021, her sister Stevie shared a screenshot of Andi's text to Albie apologizing to him in September 2020.
In 2023, Albie told reporters in an ambush interview that he isn’t bothered by Andi's current love life and isn’t looking forward to working with her again.
Andi is married to surfer Philmar Alipayo. They have two children together: Lilo and Koa.
Andi is also on a co-parenting setup with Jake toward Ellie.
Jaclyn died due to a myocardial infarction or heart attack on March 2.
