Here's where you can find the new Japan Visa Application Centres

Published Mar 19, 2025 12:38 pm

Attention, travelers! The Japan Embassy is opening more visa application centers in the Philippines.

The embassy announced on March 19 that it will open Japan Visa Application Centres to accept and issue visas to aspiring travelers and "provide better service and convenience" to those applying for the travel document.

Starting April 7, Filipinos can submit their visa applications at the five JVAC branches in the metro in Parañaque City, Makati City, Quezon City, Cebu City, and Davao City.

Here's where the JVACs are located:

  • Level 3 Gateway Tower Mall Araneta City, Quezon City
  • Level 3, Parqal Mall, Building 5, Diokno Avenue corner Macapagal Boulevard, Paranaque City
  • Ground Floor, Makati Circuit Corporate Center Tower Two, AP. Reyes St. Brgy Carmona, Theater Drive Circuit, Makati City
  • Faustina Center, Level 6, F. Cabahug Street, Kasambagan, Cebu City
  • FEG 9 -10 2nd Floor, Alfresco Area, Felcris Centrale, Quimpo Blvd., Davao City

These centers will be open from Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and closed on weekends and Japanese Embassy holidays.

Applicants can submit their documents from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Metro Manila branches and from 7 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Cebu and Davo.

Visas will be released throughout business hours on weekdays.

Applicants will also pay a P520 visa fee and center usage fee at the time of their application. Fees will also vary depending on nationality and visa type.

With the opening of the new JVACs, the Japan Embassy will no longer accept applications from accredited agencies starting April 6. Those who applied through accredited agencies before April 6 can expect their passports to be released where they applied.

In January, the Japan Embassy updated its guidelines for visa applications adding that aspiring visitors should file their documents at least two months before their trips.

This was due to the rapid increase in the number of visitors from the Philippines.

In February, the embassy bared plans to shorten the processing period back to five days.
