Carlos Yulo executes clean front handspring double front, wins vault gold medal
Just a day after losing his title defense in the floor exercise finals, Carlos Yulo claimed the men’s vault gold medal at the 2021 FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships Sunday, Oct, 24 at Kitakyushu City Gymnasium in Japan.
The 21-year-old Filipino gymnast scored an average of 14.916 boosted by a 15.033 in his second vault after tallying 14.800 in his first.

Yulo scored 15.033 after his clean execution of a front handspring double front with a half twist out, or a Dragulescu vault, on his second attempt.
The Filipino gymnast recorded 14.800 after execution with three twists before landing.
Yulo is set to cap off his world championships journey in the parallel bars later at 5 p.m., Philippine Standard Time.
