The holidays glow a little warmer when people come together.

That’s exactly what happened as the PhilSTAR Media Group (PMG) and Federal Land Communities (FLC) staged the Nakaka-Christmas Fair from October 28 to 29, 2025, at MET Live in Pasay City.

The event filled the atrium with color and homegrown creations, capturing the warmth of the season by supporting one another.

“Since its beginning, NakakaLocal has stayed true to its mission of empowering local artisans and giving them a meaningful platform to share their craft with the world,” said Lucien Dy Tioco, executive vice president of PMG.

Lucien Dy Tioco, executive vice president of PMG notes that NakakaLocal continues to be a platform where local artisans shine.

“Today, we celebrate that same spirit through a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, artists, and creatives—all gathered here to showcase the best of Paskong Pinoy.”

Local finds that spark joy

Over 20 micro, small, and medium enterprises brought a touch of magic with handcrafted pieces and festive delights.

Minnie’s Cakes & Pastries, The Grandew Corporation, Ti Amo Tiramisu, Steep & Sip, and Cousins Deli Café made sure everyone left with a sweet treat to share with family and friends.

Those getting a head start on their holiday wardrobe found plenty to love from Huebadera, Versa, Calee, Claybear, Crafting Time, Dazzlerati, and The Cattwrites Shop—each offering stylish finds perfect for special gatherings.

Blesila Lantayona, undersecretary and supervising head of the Regional Operations Group of Department of Trade and Industry, highlights how uniting local brands creates more opportunities and supports sustainable growth.

“By bringing together brands, businesses, and communities under one festive roof, this initiative has once again proven that when Filipinos unite, we don’t just create opportunities—we lay the foundation for inclusive and sustainable growth,” remarked Blesila Lantayona, undersecretary and supervising head of the Regional Operations Group at the Department of Trade and Industry.

For Christmas decorating enthusiasts, lifestyle and wellness booths from Wood Classics, Amianan PH, Belisitas Rattan Furniture, Iosifin Studio, Panyupayana, Shine & Sparkle, and Mabuting Pastol also offered artisanal décor and accents that elevate any home.

Adding creativity to the mix were arts and crafts favorites such as The Photobox, Cotton & Canvas, Naty’s Handicraft, and Veras.

A Christmas to remember

PMG together with FLC made the occasion even more special as a 20-foot Christmas tree came alive in shimmering blue and gold.

Charmaine Bauzon, commercial business group head of Federal Land Inc. & FNG, shares that the Christmas Bazaar is both a celebration of Filipino creativity and an opportunity to support local merchants.

“This Christmas bazaar is more than just a shopping event. It is a true Paskong Pinoy experience, where every booth tells a story of hard work and creativity,” shared Charmaine Bauzon, commercial business group head of FLC.

“By supporting these local entrepreneurs, we’re not only picking meaningful gifts but also helping communities thrive.”

The fair offered fun for everyone, with games and raffle draws that brought extra holiday cheer—including Singing Bee, MERRY WIN-MAS, Pass the Pamasko, Paskwiz, and Twistmas Tongue Twisters.

Voices of the season

The celebration of talent continued with STAR Local, a singing competition that gave aspiring artists a chance to shine.

Nine participants took part, with Shedrick Basillo and Ramiya Aparente emerging as champions. Each received P5,000 in cash and will advance to the grand finals at the NakakaBazaar event in 2026.

If there’s one thing the fair reminds us of, it’s that the power to uplift local communities is in our hands.

This Christmas, may we give with purpose and keep the spirit of bayanihan burning bright.

The Nakaka-Christmas Fair was supported by sponsors Toyota Motor Philippines, EastWest Ageas Insurance, VIVA, and Maybank, together with partners Business for Sustainable Development, the Philippine Franchise Association, and the Philippine SME Business Network, as well as media partners WhenInManila.com, Blogapalooza, and SJE Studios.
