Messages of love and support for Rabiya Mateo flooded social media after she failed to take home the Philippines’ fifth Miss Universe crown.

Mateo, one of the favorites during the preliminary competition, continues the Philippines’ semi-final streak in the Miss Universe pageant. Even if she didn’t make it to the Top 10, she still delivered a strong performance in the competition.

Here’s how local celebrities reacted to the pageant journey of the 24-year-old beauty queen:

For TV host and actress Alex Gonzaga, Filipinos are “proud and grateful” for Rabiya for representing the country.

“Keep shining bright, Rabiya!” Actress KC Concepcion wrote on Twitter, sending her love to the beauty queen.

In a separate tweet, Concepcion said that “a beauty queen still achieves so many dreams on her #Miss Universe journey.” She also advised her followers to focus on a queen’s achievements, rather than her failures.

TV host Bianca Gonzales thanked Rabiya for “pouring your heart out to represent the country.”

"Thank you Rabiya! We love you!!!!!" Comedian and TV host Vice Ganda said.

Actress Maja Salvador also expressed her support to the beauty queen.

"No matter what happened today, we love you Ms. Philippines," Actress Kim Chiu wrote on Twitter, while congratulating this year's Miss Universe titleholder.

Andrea Meza of Mexico was crowned as the 69th Miss Universe in Hollywood, Florida.
