Same day release of postal IDs now offered at these malls

You don’t need to wait long—you can obtain your Postal ID on the same day at the Philippine Postal Corporation’s SM City Manila and Robinsons Otis branches.

According to PHLPost, those who would want to avail of the same-day service can submit their applications at the fifth floor of SM City Manila from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. on weekdays.

Meanwhile, individuals can also apply at the Robinsons Otis Post Office from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Those who will submit after noon will be scheduled for next-day release.

Postal ID cards are issued daily at 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. The standard application fee is P550, while rush processing is available for P650.

The Postal ID, which has a three-year validity period, is a valid government-issued ID. Agencies, including the Department of Foreign Affairs, recognize it as a primary identification document. 

It contains enhanced physical security features, including biometrics and a unique hologram, to prevent forgery and make ID verification simpler and quicker. 

Eligibility extends to all Filipino citizens, including those residing abroad who are physically present at the time of application. Additionally, foreign residents who have lived in the Philippines for at least six months may apply.
