PHLPost to accept new Postal ID applications again starting March 2

Published Feb 28, 2026 11:03 am

The Philippine Postal Corporation will be ready to process new Postal ID applications again starting next month.

PHLPost announced the update in a Facebook post earlier this week, saying that they'll be set to process applications anew on March 2 onwards.

Rush Postal ID processing, on the other hand, resumes on March 20.

Earlier in February, the PHLPost said that its printing equipment was undergoing technical issues and subsequently stopped accepting new Postal ID applications.

The Postal ID, which has a three-year validity period, is a valid government-issued ID. Agencies, including the Department of Foreign Affairs, recognize it as a primary identification document.

It contains enhanced physical security features, including biometrics and a unique hologram, to prevent forgery and make ID verification simpler and quicker.

All Filipinos living in the Philippines are eligible to apply for a postal ID, including those living abroad but were in the Philippines at the time of application. Foreign residents who have been in the country for at least six months may also apply for a Postal ID.

A regular application fee costs P550, and P650 for rush application.
