Sanchez made headlines in September after winning the 20th season of America's Got Talent, 20 years after first joining the competition in 2005 at age 10. For the finale, she gave a powerful rendition of Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga's "Die with a Smile," besting nine other finalists and bringing home $1 million (~P58 million) in prize money.
She also joined the 11th season of American Idol in 2012, where she placed second.
Sanchez joined the TV series Glee as a guest performer for two episodes toward the end of season 4. She played Frida Romero, the powerhouse lead of the Hoosierdaddies, the rival of Glee’s main glee club, New Directions.
Some of her songs include Tonight, This Love, and her recent single Two Lines, among others.
