Mark Zuckerberg's first tweet in 11 years seems to poke fun at Twitter

Meta founder Mark Zuckerburg seemed to take a jab at Twitter in a hilarious way when he tweeted for the first time in a decade, shortly after his new social media platform Threads was launched.

In his tweet, the business magnate simply posted a picture of the famous Spider-Man meme in which two people in Spider-Man costumes are pointing at each other.

This may be in reference to how Threads' text-based format is almost entirely similar to Twitter, which is owned by Elon Musk.

The timing of Zuckerberg's tweet led some to believe that he was taking a shot at the Musk-owned app.

The tweet has since garnered more than 70,000 likes as of writing, with many noting how it was Zuckerburg's first post on the platform in 11 years. His last tweet was made way back on January 19, 2012.

However, this is not the first time that he appeared to have taken a swipe at Musk, who is known to be his bitter rival in the tech industry.

Several weeks ago, the two tech titans made headlines when they made offers to each other to a cage match.

It was Musk who first made the move, telling his fans: "I'm up for a cage match if he is lol." In response, Zuckerburg posted on his Instagram Stories a screenshot of the message and quipped, "Send me location."

Threads is the biggest challenger yet to Musk's Twitter, which has seen a series of potential competitors emerging.

The platform has also recently been under fire from users who are not so happy at Musk's recent decisions to temporarily restrict how many tweets users could read per day.

The Threads app was officially launched on July 6 on iOS and Android app stores. In just a few hours, five million users have already signed up to the platform. Users include big names from Hollywood such as Shakira and Jack Black, as well as some notable news organizations and entertainment sites including The Hollywood Reporter, Vice, and Netflix.
