Application Requirements

All applicants will have to fill up an application form which can be found on their website

Your requirements depend on the kind of application you’ll be submitting: as an incoming first-year student, or as a transfer student from another university.

Incoming freshmen from the Philippines would need to upload the following supporting documents and high school records:

  • PSA or NSO copy of Birth Certificate (or its equivalent abroad)
  • Copy of Grade 9-11 report card/s
  • List of extracurricular activities
  • Payment slip/transaction receipt as proof of payment of application fee
  • Additional documentation, if applicable (ex. IB grades, SAT results, among others)
  • High school record form
  • Guidance Counselor/Class Adviser’s Recommendation Form
  • Subject Teacher’s Recommendation Form

Apart from the mentioned requirements, applicants are required to pay P600. Applicants from public high schools or public science high schools in the Philippines are exempted from paying this fee, so long as they upload a copy of their Grade 11 or 12 ID.

Applicants from private high schools are also exempted from paying the fee, so long as they fulfill the following conditions (along with the following requirements):

  • A natural-born Filipino citizen
  • Belongs in the top 10 percent of the graduating class
  • Belongs to a family whose combined household income falls below the poverty threshold as defined by NEDA

International applicants for first-year admission would have to submit the same aforementioned requirements. These applicants would also need to pay P2,500 as an application fee.

Those applying for financial aid would need to fill out the financial aid questionnaire and submit additional documents. More details can be found on their website.

Transferring applicants would need to apply via the application portal

After submitting your application requirements, you will then be taking the Ateneo College Entrance Test (ACET). Your schedule will depend on the application period calendar.

Important dates

Examinees can choose to take the ACET at the Ateneo de Manila’s main campus in Katipunan Avenue or at testing centers outside Metro Manila. According to the Ateneo website, the ACET will take place on the following dates:

  • Metro Manila - October 19 & 20, 2024
  • Provincial - October 26 & 27, 2024

The ACET usually consists of multiple-choice questions in the following subjects: math, English, general knowledge, and abstract reasoning. You will also need to write an essay under time pressure.

Test takers will only have to bring pencils, pens, snacks, and water. Calculators and similar electronic devices will not be permitted in the examination room.
