ICYMI, 'Van Gogh Alive' exhibit set for Manila comeback this October
It's confirmed! The globally famous Vincent Van Gogh Alive exhibit is heading back to Manila this October.
In case you missed it, BGC Arts Center on Aug. 19 announced that the much-talked-about experience is returning to the exhibit area located at Dolores L. Tan Hall in Maybank Performing Arts Theater in Taguig.
"Be part of the world’s most visited immersive experience, Van Gogh Alive, at the BGC Arts Center this October!" BGC Arts Center wrote on social media.
The news comes after the organization previously teased the exhibit's return on Aug. 11.
This is the second time that the Bonifacio Art Foundation and the Melbourne-based immersive arts company Grande Experiences are bringing Van Gogh Alive to the Philippines. The first show was held at the One Bonifacio High Street Mall from October to December 2019.
The exhibit, which is dubbed the "world’s most visited multi-sensory exhibition experience," has already been visited by 8.5 million visitors in 90 cities worldwide since it was first presented in Singapore in 2011.
Each show features more than 3,000 of Van Goggh's masterpieces through immersive and interactive displays that run from the venue's ceilings to the floors. The movement of the images is synchronized with the classic music playing in the background.
Other details for the upcoming Van Gogh Alive exhibit in the Philippines, including ticket prices and selling date, are yet to be announced.
