GMA to conduct 'impartial' investigation on issue involving artist and independent contractors
GMA Network has issued a statement on the alleged incident involving one of its celebrities and two independent contractors that has been making rounds online.
On its social media accounts, the broadcasting giant acknowledged that "online articles and posts have recently circulated regarding an alleged incident involving an artist and independent contractors of GMA Network."
"We have yet to receive a formal complaint from those allegedly involved in the issue. Should one be filed, the Network is committed to conducting a thorough and impartial investigation," the statement said.
"We assure the public that GMA Network takes such matters with utmost seriousness," they continued.
GMA did not disclose the names of the three individuals involved. They also did not specify the issue that has mired them in controversy.
However, many social media users have been tagging GMA to an article from a local entertainment news site claiming that two program executives harassed a newbie artist from the network in a hotel room.
The incident allegedly happened while an extravagant gathering took place on the hotel's premises.
GMA recently held its gala night last July 20 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Newport Pasay City.
