Heading to the north this weekend? Expect heavy traffic.

North Luzon Expressway on Friday issued a traffic advisory to motorists ahead of the Coldplay concert at the Philippine Arena on Jan. 19 and 20.

"Please allot more travel time as high volume of traffic is expected during these dates," the advisory read.

NLEX asked motorists who are heading to Bocaue or Santa Maria to take alternate routes via Marilao or Tambubong exits.

It added that traffic personnel will be deployed at strategic areas to assist.

The expressway operator also shared a roadmap for a "seamless concert experience."

Similarly, concert promoter Live Nation reminded concertgoers to "allow more time for travel" as refunds will not be issued for late arrivals.

They are also asked to ensure that the ticket matches the respective day of the show they are attending. "Entry will not be permitted for tickets with the wrong date," it said.

Coldplay will return to Manila for their "Music of the Spheres World Tour." They previously visited the country in 2017 as part of their concert tour dubbed "A Head Full of Dreams."
