Nicki Minaj gives birth to first child
Pound the alarm, Nicki Minaj is officially a mom!
The American award-winning rapper gave birth to her first child with husband Kenneth Petty last September 30 in Los Angeles, US-based entertainment website E! News has confirmed.
Minaj, 37, first broke the good news of her being a would-be mom on Instagram back in July.
"#Preggers," she captioned a post that showed her baby bump.
She wrote in another post, "Love. Marriage. Baby carriage. Overflowing with excitement & gratitude. Thank you all for the well wishes."
Minaj (or Onika Tanya Maraj in real life) married Petty, 42, in October 2019, almost exactly a year before welcoming their newborn.
Amid her pregnancy, the Super Bass and Starships singer managed to release some singles this year including Nice to Meet You (with Meghan Trainor) and Oh My Gawd with Mr Eazi and Major Lazer).
With plums from American Music Awards, BET, MTV Video Music Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and Billboard Women in Music Awards, plus 10 Grammy nominations, the musician remained a popular personality in and out of her industry. She even made it to Time's 100 Most Influential in 2016.
Minaj staged her concert in Manila in July 2012.
