Local travelers can now sign up for vaccination certificates from VaxCertPH

When the government launched the VaxCertPH, the online portal only accepted registration from Filipinos traveling abroad. Now, even domestic travelers can register to get their vaccination certificates from the system.

As more tourist destinations are dropping COVID-19 test requirements for vaccination certificates or cards, the government has expanded the online portal's availability.

A VaxCertPH verifier app, which could be used by business establishments and border officers, is also now available on the App Store and soon on Google Play Store. The app scans VaxCertPH vaccination certificates and verifies their authenticity.

According to presidential spokesman Harry Roque, local governments that do not have their own electronic vaccination administration systems can adopt VaxCertPH to record and organize their vaccination database.

The Department of Information and Communications Technology, the developer of the portal, will work with local governments in uploading data to the system. The agency will also provide updates on the status of submission compliance of vaccination information.
