Tippy Dos Santos' mom dies of injuries from car accident in South Korea
Singer and actress Tipp Dos Santos lost her mother, Happy, after she was caught in a fatal car accident while on a holiday vacation in Seoul, South Korea.
Happy's husband John announced the news of the tragedy through her social media accounts, detailing that she passed away at 58 years old on Dec. 30 due to the injuries she suffered from the accident.
"She fought for her life, but in the end, the Lord decided to bring our beloved Happy home," John's message read.
He continued, "The hurt of this loss to our family is indescribable and we will miss her every single day. As her husband, the light of my life and the light of my world was extinguished. As for my daughters, they have lost the most caring and loving mother any child could ask for."
John described Happy as "bright and full of energy, she knew how to light up every room she was in."
"Happy was caring and generous, she would provide you with any assistance you needed from her—no questions asked. Happy was so loving and she devoted much of her energy to making sure people she loved knew and felt her love," he wrote.
He also expressed his gratitude to his wife for all the love and happiness that she had brought into their lives.
"We know that she has touched many others the same way. Please continue to keep all the wonderful memories she shared with each one of you in your hearts. We love you forever dearest bride, mama, and Loli Haps. May the Lord take your hand and lead you into eternity. Until we see you again," John ended the post.
Some celebrities took the time to give their condolences to the family for their loss, such as Sharon Cuneta and Zsa Zsa Padilla.
Tippy previously published a post on her Instagram account asking for support from her fans after the car accident took place.
"On Wednesday, 27 December, upon their arrival in Seoul for a short holiday, Happy and John figured in a horrific vehicular accident. While John is currently recovering from his injuries, Happy is now in a coma and fighting for her life," the post detailed.
The local star has yet to give a statement on the sad development. However, she has now updated her Facebook profile picture with a photo of her and Happy being sweet together.
