Will you really follow driving directions if they lead you straight into a harbor?

According to Fox News, two tourists have been rescued after strictly following GPS directions, which led them into Honokohau Small Boat Harbor in Kailua-Kona.

Witness Christie Hutchinson told Hawaii News Now that “they just must have taken their eyes off the road for a second” when the incident happened.

“I think everyone is a bit shocked because we saw this car go straight into the harbor,” she said, adding that it took them a while to figure out what was going on “because they didn’t seem panicked or have any sense of urgency to get out of the car.”

Hutchinson shared the video of the incident on social media, where she can be heard telling the smiling driver in the silver Dodge Caravan: “Pretty sure that wasn’t supposed to happen.”

Fox News reported that people on the scene “managed to swim over” and “help them escape the SUV before it was completely submerged.”

“No one was hurt in the incident and the car was later towed out of the harbor,” it added.
