Cara Delevingne's parents reveal cause of Los Angeles house fire

Cara Delevingne's parents, Pandora and Charles, revealed what caused the fire in the international personality's home in Los Angeles.

According to a report by TMZ, Charles said a rogue powerline may have caused the electrical fire, which later grew out of hand because of the "strong winds" in the area. "Power lines. It's very windy there," he added.

Pandora shared that Cara was "devastated" over what happened, noting that her daughter "had her whole life" in that house.

"She had everything in her house—her whole life," she explained. "She built it. She made it."

NBC Los Angeles reported that the 6,650-square-foot studio mansion was on fire for two hours last week.

Per the media outlet, the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) said that the fire consumed one room and "developed into a deep-seated attic fire."

"This got up into the attic and spread throughout the majority of the home. So the home has a lot of excessive damage," authorities said.

The LAFD said it "took 94 firefighters two hours and 16 minutes to access, confine, and extinguish the flames."

A few hours after the incident, Cara posted in her now-expired Instagram stories that she could not believe what happened to the house she "cherishes" the most.

"My heart is broken today... I cannot believe it. Life can change in a blink of an eye. So cherish what you have," she wrote, sharing some pictures of her two cats, which she said are doing fine after the fire.

"Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all the firefighters and people that have showed up to help," she captioned another post.

Cara's Los Angeles home was featured on Architectural Digest's YouTube channel in 2021.

In the episode, the model, singer, and actress said she opted for a mix of themes in each room, associating each one with her line of work

"I love slipping into these various characters, so I wanted my home to reflect lots of different themes and moods," she said. "But I feel like the theme of this is definitely Mad Hatter's tea party. But there's jungle theme, there's Beverly Hills hotel, there's an old English style in here, but also, obviously, very typically LA."
