Government employees are in for free train rides on Monday, Sept. 19.

The Department of Transportation announced the news in a Facebook post on Sunday, Sept. 18, noting that they are offering “libreng sakay” on MRT-3, LRT-2, and the Philippine National Railways.

“Sa MRT-3 at LRT-2, magsisimula ang programa mula 7:00 a.m. hanggang 9:00 a.m. ng umaga, at 5:00 p.m. hanggang 7:00 p.m. ng gabi,” the agency said.

“Habang sa PNR, maaaring i-avail ang Libreng Sakay mula sa una hanggang huling trip sa mga operational routes nito,” the DOTr added.

All you have to do is present your government employee ID to avail of the free transpo.

Aside from the 122^nd anniversary of the Philippine Civil Service, the DOTr is holding the initiative in appreciation of each government worker’s dedication to serving the Filipino people with truth and honesty in mind.
