NAIA confirms these airlines will move terminals on March 29
The New NAIA Infrastructure Corp. on Tuesday announced a major reorganization of airline terminal assignments at Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
Effective March 29, this reshuffle is designed to decongest and "optimize terminal capacity and improve passenger movement at NAIA."
The following international airlines will officially move from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3:
- Shenzhen Airlines
- Royal Brunei Airlines
- Air China
- Vietnam Airlines
- China Eastern Airlines
Meanwhile, all international flights for AirAsia and AirAsia Berhad will relocate from Terminal 3 to Terminal 1, while Japan Airlines will move from Terminal 1 to Terminal 3.
Passengers are encouraged to double-check their flight itineraries and monitor official airline notifications to prevent significant delays.
NAIA has seen improvements over the past year, including biometric e-gates, two food halls, lounges, and more.
This is part of the changes promised by the San Miguel-led consortium after it won the NAIA rehabilitation project worth P170 billion in 2024.
In September 2024, San Miguel Corp. promised travelers that they could "expect improvements in the facilities within the next three to six months."
"Long term, the New NAIA Infrastructure Corp. (NNIC) plans to construct a new terminal and other facilities that will increase NAIA’s capacity from 35 to 62 million passengers annually. For now, NNIC will maintain smooth operations, with gradual and methodical improvements," they added.
The NNIC website provides a list of airlines by terminal on its website.
