LOOK: Melania Trump makes a fierce entrance at husband's inauguration in navy blue outfit
The former first lady is ready to return to the White House in style.
Melania Trump, wife of incoming 47th US President Donald Trump, arrived at the Capitol dressed in a sleek navy blue outfit by an independent American designer for the inauguration.
She wore a navy silk wool coat, a navy silk wool pencil skirt, and an ivory silk crepe blouse by New York-based designer Adam Lippes. She accessorized the look with gloves and an Eric Javits boater hat that covered her eyes.
"The tradition of the presidential inauguration embodies the beauty of American democracy and today we had the honor to dress our first lady, Mrs. Melania Trump. Mrs. Trump's outfit was created by some of America's finest craftsmen and I take great pride in showing such work to the world," Lippes said in a press release.
This contrasted with her outfit for her husband's first inauguration in 2017, where she wore a powder blue Ralph Lauren cashmere dress and jacket with a mock neck collar, paying homage to Jackie Kennedy.
Mrs. Trump completed her look with a pair of powder blue Manolo Blahnik pumps and gloves, and styled her hair in an updo.
Trump was assumed as the 47th president of the United States on Jan. 21 (Philippine time), marking his return to the White House.
