From robber to lover…
A woman made the rounds online after recounting how she fell in love with a guy who stole her phone—and then her heart—in a recent interview posted on Twitter.
Detailing her “first date” with the man of her dreams, the Brazilian beauty named Emanuela laughed as she revealed it was when he grabbed her gadget from her hand on the street.
“I was walking down the street where he lives and, unfortunately, I was mugged,” she said in Portuguese, as translated to English in a report by The Mirror.
According to her boyfriend, he had to resort to stealing at the time as he was at a low point in his life then. He instantly regretted it, however, when he saw a photo of his victim on the phone. “I said to myself, ‘What a beautiful brunette. You don’t see a brunette like that every day,’” he recalled.
The thief got in touch with her via details he found on her phone and convinced Emanuela to go on dates.
The two have been together for over two years now.
