House Deputy Majority Leader Erwin Tulfo is the leading senatorial candidate for the 2025 midterm elections, a new Social Weather Stations survey showed.

In the SWS survey commissioned by the Makati-based Stratbase Group for the "Bilang Pilipino" election coverage of MediaQuest, Tulfo got 45% voting preference.

Incumbent senator Bong Go placed second with 43%, while former Senate president Tito Sotto ranked third with 37%.

Sen. Lito Lapid and Erwin's brother, broadcaster Ben Tulfo, placed fourth to fifth with 34%.

Former senator Ping Lacson placed sixth with 32%.

Makati Mayor Abby Binay and Sen. Bato Dela Rosa tied in seventh to eighth place with 31%.

Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar and Sen. Pia Cayetano both landed in the ninth to 10th spot with 30%.

Senators Bong Revilla and Imee Marcos secured the 11th to 12th spot with 29%.

In the SWS survey last April, Marcos wasn't part of the so-called Magic 12, while boxer-turned-senator Manny Pacquiao had been there. Marcos was also not part of the Magic 12 in other surveys, like the one from Pulse Asia.

The latest survey was held from May 2 to 6 through face-to-face interviews with 1,800 registered voters.

The midterm elections are on May 12.

A total of 18,320 national and local positions are up for grabs in the May elections.
