Mama Lou's is again opening its kitchen to help those in need amid Super Typhoon Uwan.

The restaurant is serving free bowls of Zuppa di Maccheroni, or macaroni soup, to anyone who visits their stores.

"A warm bowl, a warm reminder that you're not alone," it said in the caption of its post. "Stay safe, check on your loved ones, and let's look out for one another."

While Mama Lou's did not indicate which branches people can avail of the free soup, its stores are located in BF International Las Pinas, Evia Lifestyle Center, Alabang West Parade Premio, Solenad Nuvali, Venice Grand Canal Mall, Mama Lou's Alfresco Silang, SM Bataan Balanga, SM City Clark Pampanga, SM City Sto. Tomas Batangas, Gateway 2 Cubao, Madison Galeries, Ayala Malls U.P. Town Center, Ayala Malls Vertis North, Ayala Malls Circuit Makati, Ayala Malls The 30th,
Ayala Malls Feliz, Ayala Malls Manila Bay, Ayala Malls North Exchange, Skyranch Tagaytay, Robinsons Galleria Ortigas, and Ayala Malls Vermosa Cavite.

The restaurant offered the same free meal in July 2024 amid Super Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon.

Uwan intensified into a super typhoon on Nov. 5, with four areas in Luzon under TCWS No. 5 and Metro Manila under TCWS No. 3.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority has halted the number coding scheme in Metro Manila for Nov. 10. Classes and government work are also suspended for Monday.
