LIST: Pride Month activities happening in the metro this June
It's the time of year to wave your queer flag high!
ICYDK: the Metro Manila Pride March isn't the only thing to look forward to this month, several LGBTQ+ organizations also have activities in store to celebrate the occasion.
For queer people and allies alike, here's a list of Pride Month activities happening all over the metro.
#ArtForACause
This year, UP Babaylan is holding an online fundraiser together with queer artists. From June 1 to 30, you can get personalized cartoon and realistic portraits done for a minimum donation of P300.
Proceeds will go to Golden Gays Manila, a non-profit organization for homeless and elderly gay people, and Pioneer FTM, an organization supporting Filipino transgender men.
Pelikulaya International LGBTQIA+ Film Festival
Listen up, queer film buffs! The Film Development Council of the Philippines is holding a film festival from June 10 to 26, premiering 50 local and international films.
On June 10, Isabel Sandoval's Lingua Franca will be screening at the Cinematheque Centre Manila. Other LGBTQ+ flicks will also be screened.
The Rainbow Ball
Who's ready to pose the house down boots? House of Mizrahi, the first-ever international house of voguing in the Philippines, is holding a Rainbow Ball on June 11, 4 PM at Ayala Circuit Malls.
To the inundated, attendees at balls dance, vogue, walk, pose, perform, lip-sync, and model in different categories for trophies and prizes.
Living Faith: Queer Theology and Spirituality
For our spirituals guys, gals, gays, and theys, Open Table Metropolitan Church Community is holding a talk to discuss living a spiritual life while still being LGBTQ. The forum will be held on June 12 in Mandaluyong.
QC Pride Festival
This year, there'll be more than one Pride March. Pride PH has partnered with the Quezon City local government for a Pride Festival on June 25 at the QC Memorial Circle.

Get your rainbow flags ready! Metro Manila Pride March and Festival is happening in Pasay City on June 25. This year's theme and manifesto is: Ang ating SAYSAY. Ang ating KASAYSAYAN. Ang ating KULAY. Ang ating KALAYAAN.
