Philippine Airlines confirmed that a flight bound for Hong Kong was delayed on July 2 morning following a "security concern."

According to a Radyo Pilipinas report, flight PR300 received a bomb threat at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.

Following the concern, Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group Airport Police K9 unit and APD Light Reaction Section personnel were deployed to secure the aircraft. Passengers and baggage were also deplaned.

The plane was given clearance to fly after a thorough inspection.

"We thank our passengers for their patience, understanding, and cooperation throughout the security procedures," PAL said in a statement, as per dzBB.

"The safety and security of our passengers and crew remain Philippine Airlines' highest priority."

PAL's flight tracker states that PR300 took off for Hong Kong at 1:51 p.m. and landed at 3:50 p.m.
