LIST: LRT and MRT shorten operating hours for the 2021 holidays
Plan your commutes ahead as the Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Manila Metro Rail Transit System (MRT) will be implementing shortened operation hours in observance of the holiday season.

LRT 1
Dec. 24, Friday
- First train (Baclaran and Balintawak): 4:30 a.m.
- Last train (from Baclaran): 8 p.m.
- Last train (from Balintawak): 8:15 p.m.
Dec. 31, Friday
- First train (Baclaran and Balintawak): 4:30 a.m.
- Last train (from Baclaran): 7 p.m.
- Last train (from Balintawak): 7:15 p.m.
Light Rail Manila Corp., the operator of LRT 1, said in a statement that it will continue to serve passengers on the dates below, following the regular weekends/holiday schedule.
Dec. 25, Dec. 30 and Jan. 1, 2022
- First train (Baclaran and Balintawak): 4:30 a.m.
- Last train (from Baclaran): 9:30 p.m.
- Last train (from Balintawak): 9:45 p.m.
LRT 2
Dec. 24
- First train (Antipolo to Recto and vice versa): 5 a.m.
- Last train (Antipolo to Recto and vice versa): 8 p.m.
Dec. 31
- First train (Antipolo to Recto and vice versa): 5 a.m.
- Last train (Antipolo to Recto and vice versa): 7:30 p.m.
Jan. 1, 2022
- First train (Antipolo): 6 a.m.
- Last train (Antipolo): 8:30 p.m.
- First train (Recto): 6 a.m.
- Last train (Recto): 9 p.m.
According to the Light Rail Transit Authority, regular service operating hours will be observed at LRT 2 on Christmas Day.
Dec. 25
- First trip (Antipolo and Recto): 5 a.m.
- Last trip (Antipolo): 8:30 p.m.
- Last trip (Recto): 9 p.m.
MRT 3
Dec. 24 and 31
- First train (North Avenue): 4:40 a.m.
- Last train (North Avenue): 7:45 p.m.
- First train (Taft Avenue): 5:26 a.m.
