Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) has announced remarkable growth in its bank-agnostic RCBC ATM Go network, which serves as the last mile in delivering banking services nationwide. Key highlights include a substantial 50% increase in revenues and a 31% rise in gross transaction value by the end of August. Additionally, the number of deployed terminals and merchant partners surged by 113% and 150%, respectively, compared to the previous year.
RCBC ATM Go stands as the country’s first and largest network of mobile ATM terminals, boasting 100% nationwide coverage. This innovative solution enables cash withdrawals and deposits, bank transfers, account management, e-load purchases, bills payments, and soon, digital loans. To date, it has benefitted over 10 million families, with 60% of transactions conducted by rural women engaging with RCBC ATM Go agents on a monthly basis in geographically isolated and underserved areas.
In addition to its impressive growth, ATM Go is creating new revenue opportunities for its agent-merchants through services such as QR withdrawals, Pasado Loans, Barangayan Banking, digital onboarding, and the upcoming acceptance of internationally issued cards. These features continually evolve to support the growing segment of newly banked Filipinos in rural and remote communities.
Through strategic partnerships with rural and remote merchants and enterprises, RCBC has significantly expanded its ATM services, reaching even the most isolated areas, including all provinces within the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.
Lito Villanueva, executive vice president and chief innovations and inclusion officer of RCBC, praised the record-high results of RCBC ATM Go, emphasizing that they reflect the bank's ongoing commitment to financial inclusion through a phygital—physical and digital—blended banking experience. These positive outcomes signify a new chapter in RCBC’s banking strategy, aligning with sustainability and the government's growth agenda.
“RCBC ATM Go’s achievements demonstrate our commitment to making banking accessible for all Filipinos,” Villanueva stated.
RCBC has been recognized as the Philippines' Best Bank for Digital by Euromoney for five consecutive years, along with over 250 global and regional awards. These accolades underscore the significant positive impact of RCBC's digital transformation journey and its unwavering dedication to providing exceptional customer experiences.
