Cavite gov't says viral tourism logo is not official

Published May 10, 2026 2:29 pm

The Cavite provincial government has clarified that the viral weapon-shaped logo seen online is not the official logo for its tourism.

The office did not specify the logo it's pertaining to in its statement, but on Facebook, several users have shared a post showing the different tourism logos of provinces in the Philippines in one slide. In the other slide, it showed the word "Cavite" in typography that made it look like a weapon.

This made the rounds on the platform, with one iteration of the post garnering over 4,400 shares.

Cavite Tourism has since debunked that it is not its official logo.

"Please be advised that the 'CAVITE' logo shown in these posts is NOT the official logo of Cavite tourism," the office said in a statement on May 9.

"The graphic was not designed, authorized, or released by the Provincial Government of Cavite or the Office of the Provincial Tourism Officer."

It has also urged the public to refer only to its verified social media channels and the Cavite government website for legitimate branding materials.

"While we appreciate the enthusiasm of netizens in promoting our province, we urge everyone to be discerning and verify the authenticity of information before sharing it online to avoid further confusion," Cavite Tourism continued.
