K-pop girl group Billlie cancels activities this week following Moonbin's death
K-pop girl group Billlie canceled all of its scheduled activities this week following the death of Moonbin, the older brother of member Moon Sua.
The group's handler Mystic Story made the announcement on Billlie's official fan cafe, Soompi reported.
In a statement, Mystic Story said it will update fans regarding the scheduled fan signing event. It added that it will provide additional notices regarding specific cancellations of other scheduled activities including broadcasts.
"We ask for the generous understanding of fans," Mystic Story said.
Billie debuted in 2021, with members Siyoon, Tsuki, Suhyeon, Haruna, Sheon, Haram, and Moon Sua. They're known for the songs Ring X Ring, GingaMingaYo (The Strange World), and Ring Ma Bell (What a Wonderful World).
Moonbin, a member of K-pop boy group ASTRO, meanwhile was reportedly found dead in his home by his manager on April 19. He was 25.
The group's handler Fantagio confirmed his passing later on and asked fans to refrain from spreading and believing “speculative or malicious reports.”
ASTRO debuted in 2016 with MJ, Jinjin, Cha Eun-woo, Moonbin, Yoon San-ha, and Rocky.
Their debut single, Hide and Seek, made them part of Billboard's 10 Best New K-pop Groups that year.
They're known for their hit songs All Night, Knock, One, and After Midnight.
Moonbin, as part of the ASTRO sub-unit Moonbin&Sanha, performed in the Philippines last March.
