Woman selects same numbers in 5 lottery tickets, wins 5 times in one night
A woman who combined her and her mother's birthdays in five lottery tickets won the jackpot on all of them on her mother's wedding anniversary.
According to a press release by Washington's Lottery, the American bettor was looking back on her yesteryears with her mom when she decided to purchase five tickets and pick the same combination of their birthdays for each.
Upon checking the winning numbers for Match 4 on the app the following day, she found out that she bagged the $10,000 (over P563,000) grand prize for each game, amounting to a total of $50,000 (P2.8 million).
"She immediately shared the news with her husband who was so shocked by the coincidence that he was left speechless," said the state's lotto system.
The lotto winner shared that she's looking to donate a portion of her prize money to non-profit organizations and animal charities in the country.
According to Washington's Lottery, Match 4 is a daily draw game where players can pick four numbers from one to 24 or opt for "Quick Pick" that lets the computer do the choosing. "With three winning ball combinations, the more numbers that match those drawn, the more a player will win," it said, adding that each play costs $2 (P112).
