It’s Iced Tea Day!

I am a huuuge iced tea lover. And by huge, I mean I think of it as water—it’s essential and I’ve got to have it every day. Is this refreshing beverage an important part of your life, too?

There’s a myriad of iced tea flavors available in the market. Some have floral notes, while others have a zesty taste, and we love it just the same. Of course, we wouldn't let this day pass without putting some of the best iced teas being offered in Manila in the spotlight—from LiberTea to Allmytea, and beyond. Cue the cravings, fellow iced tea lovers!

Army Navy’s freshly brewed iced tea has long been loved by many, so much so that the food chain eventually decided to offer it in a 940-ml jar for P190. The beauty of LiberTea lies in its simplicity, which makes the goodness of lemon and tea shine.

The quote “Go big or go home” is what the iconic Biggie Iced Tea (P92.40) by Wendy’s illustrates. Made with real calamansi, the classic iced tea is a top favorite for its pulp and tang.

The Mama Tea (P124/P178)—Mama Lou’s signature iced tea—hits the spot quite differently as it showcases a floral taste instead of the usual lemon. We don’t exactly know what makes this drink so good and exciting (wild guess: fresh basil leaves?), but we’re totally here for it. I personally love having it after a tiring work day as it never fails to quench my thirst.

Would this list be complete without Cibo’s Te Freddo? Definitely not. Lemon (P139) is the best bet for a lot of people, but the mint (P155) and peach (P155) are just as good. These three flavors topped with some froth are sweet, tangy, and flavorful in their own ways.

For a more affordable option, Allmytea is the way to go. The concentrate—made from real brewed tea and calamansi juice extract—can satisfy our iced tea cravings just the same. It makes a great companion during busy days as it doesn’t take a lot of time and effort to make.
