PH’s Crosta Pizzeria hailed 2nd Best Pizzeria in Asia-Pacific for 2024
Here’s good news, pizza lovers! You may want to try a slice from Crosta Pizzeria in Makati City, as it has been hailed as the second-best pizzeria in the Asia-Pacific region for 2024.
In the annual list released by the online food guide 50 Top Pizza, Crosta Pizzeria raised the Philippine flag by landing as the second-best pizzeria in the Asia-Pacific, following Tokyo, Japan’s The Pizza Bar On 38th.
Its head chef, Yuichi Abellare Ito also won the Pizza Maker of the Year 2024 - Ferrarelle Award.
According to its profile description, Crosta’s offerings are a mix of Italy, the Philippines, and Japan. It also highlighted some of their best products including the Roni Sicilian with salami and its four cheeses composed of mozzarella, taleggio, fontina, and gorgonzola.
Two other Pinoy pizza shops also made it to the list; Makati’s a mano landed on the 12th spot and bagged the Best Pasta Proposal 2024 - Pastificio Di Martino Award, and Taguig’s Wild Flour landed on the 47th.
Other special awards that were given are Performance of the Year 2024 - Robo Award which was awarded to Spacca Napoli in Seoul, and the Green Oven 2024 - Goeldlin recognizing the pizzeria that does environmentally sustainable practices which was given to Al Taglio in Sydney, Australia.
According to the online pizza guide, the first 13 winners in the 50 Top Pizza Asia-Pacific 2024 list will automatically have a spot for this year’s top 100 Best Pizzerias in the World. The winner will be announced in Naples on Sept. 10.
