Yardstick Coffee among World's 100 Best Coffee Shops for 2026
Yardstick Coffee is the only Philippine coffee spot that made it to the World's 100 Best Coffee Shops list for 2026.
The local coffee shop earned the 34th spot this year, from 18th in 2025.
Topping the list is the USA's Onyx Coffee LAB, followed by Norway's Tim Wendelboe, El Salvador's Alquimia Coffee, Australia's Only Coffee Project Crows Nest and Toby's Estate Coffee Roasters, respectively.
Also included in the Top 10 were Singapore's Apartment Coffee at no. 6, Austria's Gota Coffee Experts at no. 7, Malaysia's Story of Ono at no. 8, Colombia's Tropicalia Coffee at no. 9, and France's Tanat at no. 10.
The World's 100 Best Coffee Shops is a definitive guide to the best coffee shops around the world. As stated on its website, the list puts the spotlight on "those that excel in every aspect of the coffee experience." They're determined by public opinion and expert evaluations with the following criteria: quality of coffee, barista expertise, customer service, innovation, ambience and atmosphere, sustainability practices, food and pastry quality, and consistency.

Yardstick Coffee was founded in 2013 by Andre Chanco, Jessica Lee, and Kevin Tang. It has branches in Legazpi Village, MOA Square, Opus Mall, Otaku Room BGC, The Podium Mall (via The Daily Cut), Rockwell Powerplant Mall, Salcedo Village (via Cartel), SM Aura, and The Corner House.
Four Philippine coffee shops entered the list last year: Yardstick Coffee at 18th, El Union Coffee at 61st, Single Origin at 83rd, and Crema & Cream Coffee Roasters at 86th.
