LIST: New Year cakes for a sweet 2025

It’s almost time to bid goodbye to 2024 and say hello to 2025.

Cakes are always a must during celebrations, and the New Year is no exception as it’s the perfect time to look back on all the good that happened and welcome what’s to come with open arms.

Here are some dessert brands you can count on for good cakes for a sweet welcome to 2025.

Butternut Bakery

Butternut Bakery's Midnight Sparkle Cakes show the magic of new beginnings with their striking designs that are perfect for counting down to 2025. Their New Year offerings feature white chocolate. There's the Midnight Sparkle NY Cake Navy with a white chocolate tiramisu flavor as well as the Midnight Sparkle NY Cake Champagne with a white chocolate chiffon flavor. Both measure six inches and are priced at P1,350 each.

Amberlyn's Cake

Pantone's Color of the Year is Mocha Mousse, and that's what Amberlyn's Cake decided to go for in its New Year cake designs that cost between P900 and P1,500. Aside from round and dome cakes, they also have one that's shaped like a New Year's Eve hat that complements a lovely fireworks candle. They come in different flavors like chocolate, red velvet, mocha, strawberry, ube, and carrot.

Bakes by Hazelnut

Bakes by Hazelnut's New Year's cake was also inspired by Mocha Mousse. Aside from macarons, it's also finished off with Ferrero Rocher chocolates and gold chocolate coins. There are also cupcakes topped with gold coins to welcome 2025.

Love Bites Cake Hub

Love Bites Cake Hub has stunning New Year cakes in mocha mousse, from round cakes to tower cakes. Some have macarons in them, while others have biscoff and cheesecake. There's also a prosperity cake topped with gold chocolate coins for a "prosperous" 2025. The prices range from P1,000 to P3,200.

La Pasteleria de Jia

La Pasteleria de Jia has a 6x4 New Year Cake available in mocha or chocolate. It's decked out in shades of brown with a focus on Pantone's 2025 color and finished off with a sparkly topper that says "Hello 2025." The cake is priced at P999.

Jolly Jars

Jolly Jars' New Year cake specials also focus on Pantone's 2025 Color of the Year. The firework cake is available in two sizes, mini (P550) and regular), while the 2-tier cake measures 4x2 inches and costs P800. They're available in different flavors such as chocolate, peach lychee, and vanilla.

Bien by Tracy

Speaking of Mocha Mousse, Bien by Tracy is offering 6" NY cakes for P1,150 each. Decked out in Pantone's Color of the Year with "2025" on it, the desserts come in chocolate with caramel filling as well as mocha with choco ganache filling.

Baked by Dee

If you love minimalist cakes, check out Baked by Dee's New Year cakes and cupcakes. Their NY cake says "Hello 2025" (6x3, P600), though it also comes in bentos (P300) with an option to add two cupcakes for a total of P400 or eight cupcakes for a total of P750. They also have a 6x6 Decadent Cake (moist chocolate cake with choco ganache) priced at P300.

Delicacies by Bridget Castro

Delicacies by Bridget Castro also has New Year cakes in chocolate and ube flavors. Their New Year's Cake measures 5x3 inches (P700), while their Ube Creme Brulee measures 6x3 inches (P700). They also have Choco Decadent cake, which is available in two sizes: 6x2 inches for P450 and 8 inches by P750.

Dessert Draft Cake Shop

Dessert Draft Cake Shop's lovely 2025 cake could impress any chocolate lover out there. Priced at P2,250, the cake measures 8x4.5 inches and features a Decadent Chocolate flavor with caramel filling. They're accepting reservations for Dec. 30 and 31.
