GrabCar Travel Guide offers ideas to make your next outing a unique experience. This feature on the Grab app gives you recommendations for adventures near you that you might not know.
If you want to change things up, check out Thrill Trips for ideas like pottery sessions, painting studios, or rage rooms that you can visit. Those who want cozier excursions can check out Staycation Hotspots and Caffeine Corners for a list of places where you can chill with the fam and enjoy good coffee. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for new places to eat, check out the list of Chow Zones to discover new food spots within your vicinity.
Grab Philippines Country Head Ronald Roda told PhilSTAR L!fe that the experiences in GrabCar Travel Guide were handpicked through thorough research of trending and up-and-coming destinations.
“We had to curate it ourselves based on trends and research because this is something new. These are not places that people usually go to, so hopefully people will try them,” he said.
In the app, users can scroll to the “Grab Iba Ang Summer” section and pick Travel Guide. Next, scroll through the lists of categories. Choose an experience, and it will automatically become your drop off point. Do note that you may have to make bookings with the organizers of the activities in advance.
Discover culinary gems
Tired of your usual order? This summer is the time to shake things up with GrabFood 5-Star Eats. This curated list puts the spotlight on community favorite restaurants that have earned great ratings in the app.
If you go to the list, you’ll see the top-rated food spots near you to order from. Bakeries The Kind Cookie, Sugarbee, and restaurant Ceci Korean are among the local businesses in the spotlight in 5-Star Eats.
“We just started GrabFood a little while back and knowing that we grew that much, it was very exciting and nice to see that the community likes it,” The Kind Cookie owner Jamie Icasas told L!fe. Some of the store’s must-try bakes include their OG Chocolate Chip and Biscoff Cookies.
Meanwhile, Sugarbee owner Jenny Silayan and Ceci Korean general manager Ada Rojo can’t wait for what the summer will bring to their businesses.
“We’re expecting a hyper summer,” said Rojo.
“[We’ll be] sharing happiness of Sugarbee goodies!” added Silayan.
To check out what's on the curated list, tap on GrabFood and select “GrabFood 5-Star Eats.” Each selected restaurant in the catalog is a top-rated recommendation that users on Grab have given 5 stars in the app. 5-Star Eats will also change depending on your location.
