Skip the stress: You can now book South Korea train tickets directly on Klook

Planning an excursion in South Korea just got a whole lot easier as Klook has now launched a new service where international visitors can book train tickets in real time.

In a report by The Korea Times, the online travel platform launched the service on Monday as part of their ticket sales agreement with the country's national railway operator KORAIL.

Travelers can use the platform to check real-time train schedules, view seat availability across all KORAIL routes, and instantly purchase tickets through Klook’s mobile app or website.

Even better, users can board trains directly using digital vouchers, so there's no need to line up at ticket counters or exchange for physical tickets at the station.

After you've selected the route that you want to board on via Klook, you will then see available departure times, seat options, and corresponding fares for the day as well as for the next few weeks.

You can also sort this by earliest or latest departure time, lowest or highest price, and shortest or longest duration.

Lee Jun-ho, head of Klook Korea, highlighted that the initiative was made to make rail travel more accessible for international visitors and encourage them to explore destinations beyond major cities.

"Railways are a key mode of transportation shaping how foreign tourists travel within Korea," he said.

"With this service, we aim to enhance both accessibility and scalability, while expanding rail-linked travel products to help international visitors more easily explore regions across the country," he added.

To mark the launch, Klook will be offering discount coupons and eSIM packages for KORAIL starting May 4.
