LIST: 5 more Philippine hotels included in Michelin Guide
The prestigious MICHELIN Guide has added five more Philippine hotels to its recommendation list, raising the number of recognized properties in the country to 11.
The Department of Tourism recently announced that five Philippine hotels have been included in the MICHELIN Guide Hotels List. It came just a few months after the prestigious culinary and travel guide named six hotels in their selection, including The Admiral Hotel Manila, The Peninsula Manila, Hotel Okura Manila, Amanpulo in Palawan, Crimson Resort & Spa Mactan in Cebu, and Nay Palad in Siargao.
In a statement, the tourism agency said that the recognition of the DOT-accredited hotels "strengthens the Philippines’ positioning as a destination of choice for world-class hotel and tourism experiences" and affirms the "renowned Filipino warmth and excellence in hospitality."
Here are the five additional hotels that are now part of the MICHELIN Guide.

The MICHELIN Guide was created by the French tire company of the same name in 1900.
At the time, France had less than 3,000 cars and to increase the demand for cars—and tires—the company created guides that included maps, tire repair and replacement instructions, car mechanics listings, gas stations, hotels, and restaurants throughout the country. Later on, the guide awarded stars to restaurants.
In 2022, Kasama, a Filipino bakery and modern restaurant in Chicago in Illinois, earned a MICHELIN star.
