Cup Noodles' newest flavor tastes like egg, sausage and maple syrup pancakes
When we think of breakfast, the usual food items that come to mind are eggs, sausages, and sweet, fluffy pancakes. But have you ever considered eating them in the form of ramen?
Well, you may be tempted to do so now that Cup Noodles has begun to roll out a new flavor of their famous instant ramen that will have you tasting the "artificial" flavors of sausage, eggs, and maple syrup pancakes all in one.
Aptly called "Cup Noodles Breakfast," the new version can be cooked in just four minutes. What makes it different from the others, though, is that it comes with sugar instead of spices.
In addition, it contains "visible ingredients" of sausage and eggs and you can even alter it to suit your preferences by adding hot sauce, more syrup, or even rice.
You would also have to drain the water before eating it, more like an instant yakisoba or pancit canton.
Priscila Stanton, senior vice president and marketing for Nissin Foods USA, shared that they came up with the product in order to satisfy ramen cravings no matter what time it is.
"We know our products are a go-to meal any time of the day. Saucy, soup-based, spicy, sweet or savory, we even added rice to some, so by adding Cup Noodles Breakfast to our line-up we are truly feeding cravings around the clock - morning, noon, night or late night," she said.
The instant ramen's limited-edition breakfast flavor is on sale in select Walmart stores at the price of $1.18 (P64.80). It is also available on the retailer's website for $9.36 (P514.07).
