There's no shortage of idyllic and lavish wedding venues out there in the world—or the universe rather.
For their recent marriage ceremony, Pia Wurtzbach and Jeremy Jauncey narrowed it down to North Island, Seychelles.
The destination is touted as "one of the world's most exclusive private islands."
Located in the far north of the Indian Ocean archipelago, the secluded private island promises "the ultimate barefoot luxury."
North Island has 11 private villas spanning 450 sqm. and rooted in lush greeneries to provide guests their own undisturbed space. These are made completely from local materials harvested during the island's reclamation process.

Those looking for more privacy than North Island already offers can book its larger villa called Villa North Island or Villa 11. The 750-sqm meter multi-level abode is located on the edge of East Beach and is perfect for couples who want to cozy up away from the crowd. The spacious villa is equipped with one king-size bed, an oversized marble bath tub, a living room, a terrace, plus its own access to the beach.
Island life also includes the Piazza, Sunset Bar, in-villa and destination dining, honeymoon and wedding experiences, family activities, and well-being treatments.
"North Island, Seychelles enjoys a stellar reputation and it is priced accordingly, making it easily one of the most expensive hotels in the world," The Luxury Travel Expert blog wrote.
How much does it cost to stay in North Island?
The destination's price range is between P456,000 to P723,000 based on its website. For non-Marriott hotel members planning to stay in one of North Island's one-bedroom beachfront villas, expect to shell out 7,475 euros or PHP 455,542.28 a night, inclusive of breakfast. Members, meanwhile, can enjoy a discounted rate of 7,252 euros (P441,447) per night.
The rate goes higher for those who want to enjoy the more premium Villa North Island. An overnight stay in the luxurious summer house costs 11,882 euros (P722,399) for non-members and 11,526 euros (P700,755) for Marriott hotel members.
Guests can also avail of special rates that the resort offers, including group, corporate, government/military, and senior discounts. Meanwhile, those booking 10 rooms or more will be redirected toward a dedicated webpage where guests can plan their North Island meetings, events, weddings, and other occasions.
The entire island can even be booked on an exclusive basis for a wedding or special event. This will require the event's name, dates (and their flexibility), and type. Additionally, one must answer how many guest rooms are needed and how many attendees are expected, on top of any additional information including one's request for proposal.
Booking North Island allows sole use of its resources with the assistance of over 120 staff, including private chefs, villa attendants, and guest experience hosts.
