Shake Shack collabs with Hey Pie People to bring pie-inspired desserts
There's a new dessert for foodies to sink their teeth into!
Hey Pie People, a mom-and-pop shop known for their pastries with weekly changing flavor fillings, teamed up with Shake Shack to bring pie-inspired desserts in time for National Pie Day on Jan. 23.
The American burger joint added two new limited edition desserts to the menu: the Mango Manchego Concrete Vanilla and Hey Banana Fanna Toffee Shake Vanilla.
The Mango Manchego Concrete Vanilla (P330) is a frozen custard blended with Hey Pie People's Manchego pie. It's served with mango with the nutty and tangy flavor notes of Manchego cheese. And of course the dish wouldn't be complete without Hey Pie People's signature flaky crust.
On the other hand, the Hey Banana Fanna Toffee Shake Vanilla (P335) blends frozen custard with the local shop's Banoffee pie. The dessert is drizzled with special black sesame toffee sauce, toffee bits, ground black sesame mix, and the flaky crust.
The desserts are available for a limited time from Jan. 23 to Mar. 23 at all Manila Shake Shack restaurants, except the one in NAIA Terminal 3.
Based in Alabang, Hey Pie People is the brainchild of Reanne Young-Sagan, whose obsession with baking led her to create pies that became a hit with her friends and family.
"I've always wanted to let more people try our pies, but being a literal mom-and-pop shop, I thought it was impossible given our limited capacity. Shake Shack is helping us bring the pies to the pie people," she said.
In the past, Reanne collaborated with Toyo Eatery and Uniqlo Philippines.
