PAL offers new Filipino-inspired desserts to business class passengers until May 31
Here's something that could make your business class flights even sweeter: Flag carrier Philippine Airlines is offering new desserts to business class travelers on select international flights for a limited time.
Global travel company Trevolution Group reported that more Pinoys are choosing business class flights for their travels, with the demand for business class tickets growing by 10.5% in the past year, generating $12.56 million (PhP 722.68 million). It added that Filipinos, who often traveled with their families, preferred destinations like the United States, Hong Kong, and Thailand. Their trips revolved around adventure, cultural experiences, and extended weekend getaways.

You can look forward to the airline company's new dessert selection that will be available for business class passengers in North American destinations—including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, and New York—until May 31.
PAL's desserts—which are part of its Trio Bite-Sized Dessert Plate—consist of the Classic Leche Flan Topped With Cantaloupe Syrup, Candied Orange, and Coconut Cream; Southern Chocolate Ganache Cake Slice; and Pacencia With Mango Butter Cream Filling.

The Classic Leche Flan—made with egg yolks, milk, sugar, and vanilla extract—is given a twist through the aforementioned ingredients that make it creamier and have a more complex flavor profile.
The Southern Chocolate Ganache Cake Slice is made with luscious chocolate from premium cacao beans grown and sourced from skilled artisans in Davao, offering a velvety and smooth treat.
The Pacencia With Mango Butter Cream Filling consists of Filipino meringue cookies filled with the country’s world-renowned sweetest mangoes.

Alternatively, the airline said customers may opt for halo-halo, the classic Filipino dessert consisting of a refreshing mix of sweetened fruits, various toppings, and milk—if not served with a cheese platter or ice cream.
PAL's new dessert selection was launched in time for its 84th anniversary. It said the new offerings pay tribute to the country's rich culinary heritage, bringing nostalgic flavors and a taste of home to the skies.
