Feel the rhythm of Korea in under 72 hours
Since the re-opening of borders for foreign visitors this year, the Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) has been welcoming tourists back to Korea.
To increase tourist arrivals and slowly regain the numbers from the pre-pandemic period, KTO introduces several ways to discover the “Land of the Morning Calm” for Philippine passport holders, including the newly resumed stopover option at Incheon International Airport.
More often than not, travelers coming to and from Asia to a third country such as the United States, Canada, Europe, and more, have their stopovers through Incheon International Airport. A stopover is part of a traveler’s journey. Some stopovers are short and so, tourists just stay in the comforts of the airport.
The Incheon International Airport, hailed as one of the world’s best airports, houses everything a transit passenger may need—from a wide range of duty-free shopping facilities, capsule and transit hotels to a Korean Traditional Cultural Experience Center—making a stopover in Korea very enjoyable and hassle-free.
However, if you have at least five hours before your next flight, KTO invites you to go out, explore and make your Korea stop as memorable as your final destination through K-Stopover and Free Transit Tour programs.
K-Stopover Tours
Spend up to 72 hours in Korea with K-Stopover tour programs designed for different types of traveler. Choose from various themes and options of three tours: Package Tour, Self-Guided Tour and DIY Tour.
Travelers who prefer convenience and comfort can opt for Package Tours. From hotel accommodations, land transfers, meals, admission tickets to a theme park of your choice and tour guide, everything is taken care of.
For passengers who don’t want to restrict themselves yet seek a more convenient option, Self-Guided Tours are perfect. Self-Guided Tours are less restrictive than Package Tours, wherein your hotel accommodation and land transfers are arranged for you. However, you are free to explore Korea on your own time and pace.
For adventurous travelers, the Do-It-Yourself (DIY) tour is perfect. Choose your accommodation, tourists attractions, wellness care, transportation and guide service.
Free transit tours
For passengers with fixed schedules and have lesser stopover periods in Korea, KTO recommends the Free Transit Program. Whether you have 10 hours or less in your stopover in Korea, there is a free transit tour option for you.
Free transit tours will resume in January 2023. For reservations and bookings, visit www.k-stopover.com or visitkorea.or.kr.
Travelers are required to secure a Korean visa or K-ETA when participating in both tours.
Interested travelers need to be at the transit tour desk 30 minutes before the tour starts and must be back at the airport two hours before the traveler’s next flight.
