IKEA PH includes ‘save to shopping list’ option on its e-commerce platform prior to store opening

The opening of IKEA Philippines is so close, we can smell it!

The Swedish home brand previously revealed that its flagship store in the country will open nine weeks after the launch of its e-commerce platform. More and more developments are taking place even amid the pandemic—just recently, it has included a "save to shopping list” option for its future online shoppers.

“This is a function that people can use once we start our e-com operations in the Philippines,” country manager Georg Platzer said in an interview with PhilSTAR L!fe, adding that it’s quite similar to the online carts we use before checkout.

Below is a step-by-step guide on how we can use the new function once the online shop is officially open.

Step 1. Look through IKEA’s wide-ranging home decor and furniture catalog

“Select the product of your choice and pick a color to match your home motif. Take inspiration from our collection of ideas and how-tos for your next home revamp,” says IKEA.

Step 2. Save your desired product to your shopping list

“Can't add a product to your cart? Some products may be out of stock or only available for purchase in-store. However, they can still be saved on your shopping list. Use this as a wishlist or checklist for when you visit IKEA Pasay City."

IKEA Philippines, which is set to open within the year at the SM Mall of Asia Complex, also launched the IKEA Family Club in July. The home furnishing club provides its members with different benefits, experiences, and surprises like reward points and exclusive event invitations from the brand.
