Miranda Caffe Latte, anyone? Starbucks introduces 'The Devil Wears Prada 2'-inspired drinks
In the mood for a Miranda Caffe Latte? How about an Andy Oatmilk Cappuccino?
Starbucks is launching four new beverages inspired by The Devil Wears Prada 2's iconic characters: Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), Nigel Kipling (Stanley Tucci), and Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt).
Here's what's on the menu:
- Miranda Caffe Latte, which is a no-foam, extra-shot, extra-hot Caffè Latte with skimmed milk;
- Andy Oatmilk Cappuccino finished off with caramel and cinnamon;
- Nigel Espresso Con Panna, a Doppio Espresso Con Panna made with mocha; and
- Emily Iced Chai Latte amped up with almond milk and caramel.
The new line will be available starting on April 29, the same day of the film's Philippine premiere. It will be offered until June 1.
The film's first installment follows the story of style-challenged Andy, who goes to work at Runway Magazine, which is run to perfection by its editor Miranda, a fashion icon. Emily trains Andy to become her shadow—a role that Andy struggles with at first but eventually triumphs in. Nigel is the magazine's creative director; the only one who handles Miranda's sass with his own.
Starbucks will be featured in The Devil Wears Prada 2.
New characters join the film in this second installment, including Kenneth Branagh as Miranda's new husband and Justin Theroux in a "forward-leaning, rich and stupid" role. Lucy Liu, Simon Ashley, and BJ Novak are also in the sequel, with their roles still under wraps. Director David Frankel returns to direct the sequel; Aline Brosh McKenna pens the screenplay, as she did for the first film, which was based on Lauren Weisberger's 2003 bestseller of the same title.
