Illuminate your space with these whimsical candles from the Happy Island x Inha Arceo collection
Candles have long been the quiet mood-setters of a room, but now, you can get your hands on a set of whimsical candle holders that instantly steal the show.
Wellness brand Happy Islanders teamed up with celebrated Filipino artist Inha Arceo to create the “Lady Candles Collection,” where each candle functions as a small art piece designed to be admired, lit, and felt.
The designs showcase Arceo’s signature illustrations of Filipinas wearing traditional dresses accented with vibrant, tropical motifs.
"My art is basically described as having bold gestures and a vibrant color palette aesthetic. And what really inspires my art are the daily rituals or day-to-day things, emotions," Arceo said in a video.
"I came up with this design inspired by Filipino fruits and cultural experiences that we experience on a day-to-day basis. Being a Filipino artist really brings me so much pride and joy, and my mission always extends beyond the canvas," she added.
The candles come in three different scents. You can choose Coconut if you want a warm, cozy, and gently sweet aroma, reminiscent of a familiar kitchen moment.
There’s also Piña Colada, a creamy coconut scent blended with bright pineapple, giving off a beach-day energy in candle form. Last but not least is Mango, which has a juicy, sun-ripened fruit smell that feels like peak summer.
Each candle is hand-poured locally by Happy Island and is made with 100% soy wax for a cleaner, longer burn. They also have a guaranteed scent throw for noticeable fragrance even in a large area without overpowering it.
